The anti-corruption body has guaranteed it will complete\nthe handling of this case this year. \u201cIt is our commitment to complete\nthe case this year,\u201d said Acting KPK Director of Investigation Achmad\nTaufik Husein to reporters at the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih Building in\nKuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (22\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>For context, the KPK has named 21 suspects in this case. To date,\nonly seven suspects have been detained. Meanwhile, the investigation\ninto one suspect, former East Java DPRD Chairman Kusnadi (KUS), was\nhalted after he passed away. Taufik also stated that his team would take\ncoercive measures against the remaining suspects. He stressed that\ninvestigators would soon complete the case up to the prosecution stage.\n\u201cWe hope and pray together that the investigation team will promptly\ncomplete and carry out the subsequent investigative processes, further\ncoercive measures, detention, and handover to the prosecution stage,\u201d\nTaufik explained.<\/p>\n<p>It is understood that today\u2019s detentions are a continuation of the\ninvestigation into the alleged bribery case involving community group\ngrant funds. \u201cToday, Wednesday, 22 July 2026, the KPK has detained three\nsuspects who are the givers,\u201d revealed Achmad Taufik Husein during a\npress conference. The three suspects are Achmad Yahya (AY), a private\nsector party; M. Fathullah (MF), a private sector party; and Ra. Wahid\nRuslan (RWR), a private sector party. Taufik explained that the three\nare suspected of being the bribe givers in this case. They are being\ndetained for the first 20 days at the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih Building\nDetention Centre. \u201cThe three suspects have been detained for the first\n20 days, starting from 22 July to 10 August 2026, at the KPK\u2019s Merah\nPutih Building Detention Centre,\u201d Taufik stated.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the KPK had detained four other suspects who also acted\nas bribe givers, namely Hasanuddin (HAS), a member of the East Java DPRD\nfor the 2024-2029 period and a private sector party from Gresik Regency;\nJodi Pradana Putra (JPP), a private sector party from Blitar Regency;\nSukar (SUK), a former village head from Tulungagung Regency; and Wawan\nKristiawan (WK), a private sector party from Tulungagung Regency. In\ntotal, the KPK has named 21 suspects in this case concerning the\nmanagement of East Java Provincial Budget grant funds for 2019-2022.
