        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has explained that the\ninvestigation into alleged corruption in the procurement of banking\nnotifications at two state-owned enterprises (SOEs) initially focused on\nstate-owned banks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, since the SMS services involve various providers,\u201d said the\nActing Director of Investigation at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, at\nthe KPK Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Monday night. Consequently,\nTaufik stated that the KPK has begun investigating the alleged\ncorruption within the environments of both the banking and\ntelecommunications SOEs.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that the Rp750 fee for these banking\nnotifications resulted from a partnership between state-owned banks and\ntelecommunications SOEs. \u201cWe will provide further updates as new\ndevelopments arise in this ongoing investigation. There will be further\nexaminations ahead,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The KPK noted that the procurement includes banking notifications via\nShort Message Service (SMS) and the WhatsApp messaging application. Due\nto the procurement of goods and services being deemed non-compliant with\nregulations, the state is estimated to have suffered losses of up to Rp2\ntrillion.<\/p>",
