        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained Marjani\n(MJN), the aide to the inactive Riau Governor Abdul Wahid, for the\ninitial 20 days or until 2 May 2026. Marjani was detained after being\nexamined by the KPK as a suspect in the alleged extortion case\nimplicating Abdul Wahid. \u201cThe suspect is detained for the initial 20\ndays from 13 April to 2 May 2026,\u201d stated Acting Director of\nInvestigations at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, at the KPK\u2019s Red and\nWhite Building in Jakarta on Monday. Meanwhile, he explained that\nMarjani is charged with violating Article 12 letter e and\/or letter f\nand\/or Article 12B of Law No.\u00a031 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal\nActs of Corruption as amended by Law No.\u00a020 of 2001, in conjunction with\nArticle 55 paragraph (1) first of the old Criminal Code (KUHP).\nPreviously, on 3 November 2025, the KPK confirmed the arrest of Abdul\nWahid as Riau Governor and eight others in a hand-catching operation. On\n5 November 2025, the KPK announced the designation as suspects of Riau\nGovernor Abdul Wahid (AW), Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning,\nHousing, Settlement Areas, and Land Department (PUPRPKPP) of Riau M.\nArief Setiawan (MAS), and Governor\u2019s Expert Staff Dani M.
