The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has designated five suspects in\na sting operation (OTT) conducted in Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu. Among the\nsuspects is Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding the closed investigation activities in the Bengkulu\nregion, an exposure was carried out this afternoon at the leadership\nlevel and legal status decisions were made for the parties apprehended,\nwhereby the KPK designated five individuals as suspects in the closed\ninvestigation,\u201d KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters at KPK\nheadquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (10 March 2026).<\/p>\n
Budi has not yet detailed the identities of the four other suspects.\nHowever, he confirmed that three of them are money providers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe five individuals designated as suspects consist of three as\nmoney providers and two as recipients,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, one of them is Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
Budi further stated that a total of nine individuals were apprehended\nand brought to the KPK. They are still undergoing intensive examination\nduring the investigation phase.<\/p>\n
In this sting operation, the KPK seized a number of pieces of\nevidence.
