        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has designated Cilacap\nRegent Syamsul Auliya Rachman and Regional Secretary Sadmoko Danardono\nas suspects in a corruption case involving the collection of Eid\nallowances (THR) for Eid al-Fitr 2026 on Saturday, 14 March.<\/p>\n<p>Both officials were designated as suspects following their\napprehension in a sting operation the previous day. KPK Deputy for\nProsecution and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu stated at the agency\u2019s\nheadquarters in Jakarta: \u201cThe KPK has escalated this case to the\ninvestigation stage and designated two suspects: the Regent of Cilacap\nfor the 2025-2030 term and the Regional Secretary of Cilacap\nRegency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pair are accused of violating Article 12(e) and\/or Article 12B of\nLaw No.\u00a031 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption Offences as amended\nby Law No.\u00a020 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 20(c) of Law No.\u00a01 of\n2023 on the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n<p>According to the KPK, Syamsul ordered Regional Secretary Sadmoko to\ncollect funds ostensibly for Eid allowances. The collected money was\nintended for both personal use and distribution to the Forum of Regional\nGovernment Communications (Forkopimda) within the Cilacap Regency\nadministration.<\/p>\n<p>Funds were collected from all district government agencies in Cilacap\nRegency, with individual contributions ranging from Rp75 million to\nRp100 million, with a total target of Rp750 million.<\/p>",
