The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that the contents of a container seized at Tanjung Mas Port in Semarang were previously managed by Blueray Cargo before the company became embroiled in an import corruption case. Businessman Heri Setiyono, also known as Heri Black, has denied ownership of the container during questioning. Investigators are now probing the conflicting accounts of who currently controls the container and examining potential attempts to obstruct the investigation.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has provided further
details regarding the examination of businessman Heri Setiyono, also
known as Heri Black, today. The KPK stated that today’s examination
remains linked to the seizure of a container’s contents at Tanjung Mas
Port, Semarang.

KPK Director of Investigation Achmad Taufik Husein explained that
during questioning, Heri Black stated that the container’s contents were
once handled by BlueRay. However, the management of the container’s
contents is now unclear after BlueRay became entangled in a legal
case.

“The management of this container’s contents is now unclear, because
from the examinations of several parties, including Mr HB or HS himself,
he stated that it was previously part of BlueRay’s handling,” Taufik
told reporters at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in South Jakarta on
Thursday (11/6/2026).

“But then, because of a criminal incident currently being handled by
the KPK, it was subsequently managed by other parties. This is what
investigators want to probe further,” he added.

It is understood that the KPK examined businessman Heri Setiyono as a
witness in the alleged import corruption case at the Directorate General
of Customs and Excise today. The KPK previously stated it was confirming
with Heri regarding findings of attempts to obstruct the case
investigation.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said, “Previously, the KPK also
conducted examinations of HS’s staff in relation to information about
the collection of materials and data suspected of being aimed at
obstructing the investigation of this case.”

Budi revealed that the results of today’s examination of Heri would
be analysed. This includes checking their consistency with other
evidence already held by investigators in this case.

“Investigators will certainly analyse and probe deeper from the
statements already obtained, both from BBE and witness testimonies,”
Budi stated. “Whether this then falls under the elements of Article 21
or obstruction of justice, we will see how it develops,” he added.

On this occasion, Budi also responded to Heri’s claim that the
container seized by the KPK at Tanjung Mas Port, Semarang, did not
belong to him. Budi stated the KPK would conduct comprehensive
verification of all obtained findings.

“We will prove it. Of course, statements are not taken from just one
side. Every finding obtained by the team, whether from search activities
or other investigative activities, will certainly be complemented by
witness statements,” Budi explained. “And certainly not just one witness
will be asked to provide an explanation regarding the findings from the
search,” he concluded.

Heri Black was re-examined by the KPK as a witness today. Following
the examination, Heri explained that the container seized by the KPK at
Tanjung Mas Port did not belong to him. “No, it is not,” said Heri Black
after being questioned at the KPK’s Merah Putih building in Kuningan,
South Jakarta, Thursday (11/6).

Heri was responding to a reporter’s question regarding the ownership
of the container seized by the KPK at Tanjung Mas Port, Semarang.
Afterwards, Heri Black immediately left without answering further
questions from the media.

Today’s questioning by the KPK was the second for Heri Black. He was
previously examined by the KPK in relation to this case on Monday
(18/5).

The Import Case Background

The KPK initially named six suspects following a sting operation at
the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) in an import
bribery case. The KPK seized evidence in this bribery case with a total
value of Rp 40.5 billion.

The evidence seized includes cash in rupiah totalling Rp 1.89
billion, cash in US dollars totalling 182,900, cash in Singapore dollars
totalling 1.48 million, cash in Japanese yen totalling 55,000, 2.5 kg of
precious metals equivalent to Rp 7.4 billion, 2.8 kg of precious metals
equivalent to Rp 8.3 billion, and one luxury watch worth Rp 138
million.

Three private parties in this case are currently undergoing trial.
They are John Field as the head of Blueray Cargo, Deddy Kurniawan Sukolo
as the Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo, and Andri as the head of
the documents team at Blueray Cargo.

The three leaders of PT Blueray Cargo are charged with giving money
amounting to Rp 61.3 billion in Singapore dollar currency and providing
various facilities and luxury goods worth up to Rp 1.8 billion. The KPK
prosecutors consider the defendants’ actions to be in violation of
Article 605 paragraph 1 letter a and Article 606 paragraph 1 of Law
Number 1 Year 2023, the Criminal Code.
",
