The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed the reasons\nfor summoning several cigarette businessmen in the alleged bribery case\nconcerning imports at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in\nrecent days. Investigators are confirming findings to prepare the case\nfiles.<\/p>\n
\u201cTestimonies from these witnesses are certainly needed to confirm the\nfindings or other evidence,\u201d said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the\nKPK\u2019s Merah Putih Building in South Jakarta on Friday, 3 April 2026.<\/p>\n
Budi declined to detail the evidence held by investigators for\nconfirmation with the cigarette businessmen. In this case, most of the\nevidence was found in safe houses at various locations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat has been gathered by investigators, both in the series of\nhand-caught arrests, search operations, or from statements of suspects\nand witnesses,\u201d Budi stated.<\/p>\n
Not all cigarette businessmen are cooperative in this case. Those who\ndo not appear will be summoned again soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn this occasion, we urge witnesses who have been scheduled but have\nnot yet fulfilled the investigators\u2019 summons to be cooperative in the\nfuture, fulfil the summons, and provide the required statements,\u201d Budi\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The KPK is developing the alleged import bribery case at the\nDirectorate General of Customs and Excise. Customs employee Budiman Bayu\nPrasojo (BPP) was arrested.<\/p>\n
Investigators immediately brought Bayu to the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih\nBuilding after his arrest. Before the forced action, the KPK first\ndesignated Budiman as a suspect.<\/p>\n
The KPK has named six suspects in this case. They are Director of\nEnforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and\nExcise Rizal (RZL); Head of Subdirectorate of Enforcement and\nInvestigation Intelligence at the Directorate General of Customs and\nExcise Sispiran Subiaksono (SIS); Head of Customs and Excise\nIntelligence Section Orlando Hamonangan (ORL); Owner of PT Blueray (BR)\nJohn Field; Head of Blueray Documentation Team Andri (AND); and Blueray\nOperations Manager Dedy Kurniawan (DK).<\/p>\n
They are implicated in the alleged bribery case related to imports at\nthe Directorate General of Customs and Excise.<\/p>\n
The KPK found Rp5 billion in five suitcases related to the customs\nimport bribery case. The roles of the six suspects, including officials\nfrom the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, are detailed\nhere.<\/p>\n
