        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)\nconducted its tenth hand-catching operation (OTT) of 2026 in the\nTulungagung region, East Java. Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo was\nconfirmed to have been arrested by the KPK in the said OTT. \u201cTrue,\u201d\nstated KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto when confirmed by ANTARA\nfrom Jakarta on Friday. The KPK has a 1 x 24-hour period to determine\nthe status of the arrested parties in the OTT in accordance with the\nCriminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Previously, the KPK began its first OTT\nof 2026 by arresting eight individuals on 9-10 January 2026. The arrests\nconcerned alleged bribery in tax examinations within the North Jakarta\nMedium Tax Service Office of the Directorate General of Taxes, Ministry\nof Finance, for the period 2021-2026. The second OTT, on 19 January\n2026, saw the KPK confirm the arrest of Madiun Mayor Maidi. On 20\nJanuary 2026, the anti-corruption agency announced Maidi as one of the\nsuspects in alleged corruption involving extortion through project\nrewards, CSR funds, and other gratuities within the Madiun City\nGovernment, East Java. On 19 January 2026, the KPK conducted its third\nOTT and arrested Pati Regent Sudewo. On 20 January 2026, the KPK\nannounced Sudewo as one of the suspects in alleged extortion related to\nthe appointment of village officials within the Pati Regency Government,\nCentral Java. The seventh OTT was announced on 3 March 2026,\nduring the Ramadan month. The KPK designated Pekalongan Regent Fadia\nArafiq as the sole suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to\noutsourcing services procurement and other procurements within the\nPekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal years. The eighth\nOTT, still during Ramadan, saw the KPK announce on 10 March 2026 the\narrest and subsequent designation of Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri\nThobari as one of the suspects in alleged project bribery within the\nRejang Lebong Regency Government, Bengkulu, for the 2025-2026 fiscal\nyears.
