The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has completed its verification and analysis of a gratuity rejection report filed by Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni. The analysis was concluded in less than 30 working days, and the results have been communicated to the minister. The report relates to an envelope left by Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby, who is a suspect in a separate bribery case involving the sale of positions and gratuities linked to forest area release.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has analysed the gratuity
rejection report submitted by Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni. KPK
Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in
Jakarta on Thursday that the Directorate of Gratuities and Public
Services had completed the verification and analysis process for the
report. Budi noted that the KPK managed to complete the analysis of the
minister’s report in less than 30 working days. ‘This means, within a
timeframe of less than two weeks from the 30-working-day deadline, the
team completed it quickly and meticulously,’ he said. He added that the
KPK has conveyed the results of the analysis to Raja Juli. However, Budi
declined to disclose the findings to the public. ‘We cannot say what the
result is, whether it can be followed up or not, but we have certainly
conveyed the results and our verification,’ he said. The case stems from
a sting operation conducted by the KPK in Kuantan Singingi Regency and
Jakarta on 29 June 2026, which led to the arrest of 10 individuals.
Kuantan Singingi Regent Suhardiman Amby and Regional Secretary
Zulkarnain subsequently surrendered to the KPK on 30 June 2026. On 1
July 2026, the KPK named Suhardiman Amby, Zulkarnain, and Ardiles, the
President Director of PT Mitra Ideal Consultant, as suspects for alleged
bribery related to the sale and purchase of positions within the Kuantan
Singingi Regency administration from 2021 to 2026. The KPK also suspects
Suhardiman of receiving gratuities related to the release of limited
production forest areas. After his name was implicated, Forestry
Minister Raja Juli Antoni explained on 3 July 2026 that during a meeting
with Suhardiman on 2 June 2026, the regent left behind a sealed
envelope. The minister only realised the envelope was there after
Suhardiman had left and immediately ordered his aide to return it
without knowing its contents. The return was carried out on 12 June 2026
after a scheduling delay, with the envelope handed back to Suhardiman
through his aide in Kuantan Singingi. The minister subsequently reported
the gratuity rejection to the KPK on 3 July 2026.
",
