"summary": "The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Deputy Regent Hendri of Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu province, on suspicion of having knowledge of government projects within the regency, given his position alongside the regent as a paired local leadership ticket from the 2024 regional elections. After intensive questioning at KPK headquarters in Jakarta, investigators found insufficient evidence to formally establish Hendri's suspect status and released him, though the case centres on five formally named suspects accused of bribery and extortion related to projects in the 2025\u20132026 fiscal year.",
