        "content": "<p>The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has acknowledged that it\nwas invited by the National Police\u2019s Corruption Crime Directorate\n(Kortas Tipidkor Polri) and the Special Criminal Investigation\nDirectorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police regarding\nthe handling of three corruption cases currently under investigation.\nThe KPK stated that the invitation was for the purpose of coordination\nand supervision.<\/p>\n<p>This was conveyed by the KPK\u2019s Deputy for Enforcement and Execution,\nAsep Guntur Rahayu, during a press conference at the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih\nbuilding in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Saturday (11\/7\/2026). The\ninvitation was received by the KPK on Friday (10\/7).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday morning, Friday morning, the Corruption Eradication\nCommission received an official invitation from the Special Criminal\nInvestigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, addressed\nto the leadership, regarding the authority possessed by the KPK related\nto coordination and supervision in handling cases at other law\nenforcement agencies,\u201d Asep stated.<\/p>\n<p>Asep explained that the KPK attended the invitation in accordance\nwith Article 6 and Article 10A of Law Number 19 of 2019. Under these\narticles, the KPK is granted the authority to coordinate, supervise, and\neven take over the investigation and prosecution of corruption cases.\nFollowing the letter, the leadership assigned two deputies to attend the\nmeeting.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting with the police, discussions focused heavily on\nthe coordination and supervision process. Asep noted that the Deputy for\nCoordination and Supervision explained that the process is still in its\nearly stages. He outlined that the procedure for taking over a case\ninvolves stages of communication, coordination, and supervision before\nany adjustments are made according to the criteria in Article 10A,\nParagraph 2 of the KPK Law.<\/p>\n<p>Asep emphasised that the KPK respects the legal processes carried out\nby other law enforcement agencies. He expressed confidence that both the\nPolice and the Attorney General\u2019s Office will carry out their duties\nprofessionally. He also confirmed that there are currently no plans for\na joint investigation with the National Police regarding the three\ncases, as the process is still in the initial stages of coordination and\nsupervision.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Regional\nPolice, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, reiterated that the handling of the\nthree corruption cases is a follow-up to directives from President\nPrabowo Subianto.
