        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) continues to\nmonitor the handling of an alleged bullying case involving students at\nan international school in Serpong, South Tangerang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have conducted supervision at the educational institution in\nquestion, and the school authorities have provided an explanation\nregarding the alleged bullying incident,\u201d said KPAI Chairman Aris Adi\nLeksono when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The school authorities informed KPAI that they have addressed the\ncase by summoning and bringing together the parents of the alleged\nperpetrators and the parents of the victim to mediate the matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe school stated that the case has actually been handled\ninternally, involving the summoning of both parents and the\nperpetrators, as well as a meeting between the parents of the alleged\nperpetrators and the parents of the victim,\u201d said Aris Adi Leksono.<\/p>\n<p>KPAI subsequently requested that another meeting be held between the\nparents of the alleged perpetrators and the parents of the victim to\nprevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, it appears that a follow-up meeting is necessary so that\nthe justice desired by the victim can truly be achieved, ensuring\naccountability from the alleged perpetrators and creating a deterrent\neffect to prevent any recurrence,\u201d added Aris Adi Leksono.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, a bullying incident occurred involving a junior high\nschool student at an international school in Serpong, South Tangerang,\nwhich resulted in injuries to the victim.<\/p>\n<p>In the incident, six senior students allegedly participated in the\nbullying on the school field, with one of them suspected of being the\nchild of a deputy minister.<\/p>\n<p>However, the incident was not captured on CCTV as there are no\ncameras installed in the school field area.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the deputy minister, with the initials DAS, has denied his\nchild\u2019s involvement in the bullying at the school.<\/p>",
