The Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) has received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for the 16th consecutive time from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) for its financial reports from 2009 to 2025. Minister Mukhtarudin reported a 2025 budget realisation of Rp650.7 billion, or 94.66 percent, while noting a decline in non-tax state revenue due to reduced migrant worker placements in South Korea. The House of Representatives Commission IX approved the financial report and urged the ministry to follow up on BPK's audit recommendations.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI)
Mukhtarudin said his ministry has received 16 Unqualified Opinions (WTP)
from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) between 2009 and 2025, in
recognition of the accountable management of the ministry’s
finances.

“The WTP opinion proves that the ministry’s financial management has
been carried out accountably and presented fairly in financial
statements in accordance with government accounting standards,” said
Mukhtarudin during a working meeting with Commission IX of the House of
Representatives (DPR) at the DPR/MPR complex in Jakarta on Friday.

At the working meeting, Mukhtarudin expressed his appreciation and
gratitude for Commission IX’s support and oversight of the
implementation of the 2025 fiscal year work programme, and voiced his
hope for continued support for KP2MI’s 2026 work programme.

Mukhtarudin explained that the ministry had received WTP opinions
from the BPK on its financial statements every year from 2009 to 2024,
when it was still the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency
(BP2MI), as well as on its 2025 and 2024 budget realisation after the
agency was transformed into the Ministry of Indonesian Migrant Workers
(KP2MI).

Regarding his report on budget realisation, Mukhtarudin stated that
expenditure realisation for the 2025 fiscal year reached Rp650.7
billion, or 94.66 per cent of the Rp687.4 billion ceiling.

He also reported to Commission IX of the DPR on the realisation of
non-tax state revenue (PNBP) for KP2MI/BP2MI in the 2025 fiscal year,
which amounted to Rp7.82 billion, or 152.73 per cent of the Rp5.12
billion target.

Compared with 2025 realisation, revenue realisation in 2024 was
recorded at Rp9.8 billion, or 114.41 per cent of the Rp8.79 billion
target.

From these figures, Mukhtarudin noted that 2025 revenue realisation
fell by Rp1.97 billion, or 20.9 per cent, compared with 2024. The
decline mirrored the reduction in the 2024 revenue target, which fell
from Rp9.8 billion to Rp7.82 billion in 2025.

Mukhtarudin said the high revenue in 2024 was entirely derived from
the placement of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) under the
Government-to-Government (G-to-G) scheme to South Korea.

The figure then declined in 2025 because placements under the G-to-G
scheme to South Korea also fell, as the quota requested by that country
decreased, reducing revenue in 2025.

In response to the report, Commission IX of the DPR approved the
KP2MI/BP2MI financial statements and the realisation of non-tax state
revenue (PNBP) for the 2025 fiscal year, and urged KP2MI to follow up on
all recommendations from the BPK’s audit findings.

Commission IX also requested that KP2MI provide written answers to a
number of questions raised by Commission IX members during the working
meeting.
",
