        "content": "<p>Wayan Koster, Chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle\n(PDIP) Bali, presented various achievements in cultural-based creative\neconomy development at the closing ceremony of Bung Karno Month 2026.\nThe event took place at the Bali Beach Convention Centre, The Meru,\nSanur, on Sunday, 28 June 2026, in the presence of the 5th President of\nIndonesia and PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri, who was\naccompanied by PDIP Central Board Chairman M. Prananda Prabowo.<\/p>\n<p>In his report, Koster stated that the entire series of Bung Karno\nMonth activities in Bali was an implementation of Bung Karno\u2019s Trisakti\ndoctrine, particularly in building economic self-reliance and\nstrengthening culture. \u201cThis entire series of activities is a concrete\nimplementation of Trisakti Bung Karno: political sovereignty, economic\nself-reliance, and cultural identity,\u201d Koster asserted.<\/p>\n<p>One highlighted programme was the Arak Bali Mixology Competition,\nwhich Koster said is part of an effort to encourage youth creativity\nwhile increasing the economic value of local products. \u201cThe Arak Bali\nMixology Competition aims to encourage the creativity of the younger\ngeneration to develop Arak Bali as a leading creative economy product.\nCurrently, 54 brands of Arak Bali have entered the international\nmarket,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to arak, Koster also reported on the development of\ncoffee commodities through the Bali Barista Competition, serving as a\npromotional platform for local coffee that has received Geographical\nIndication certification. \u201cThe Bali Barista Competition is a promotional\nplatform for local coffee products from Kintamani, Pupuan, and\nBanyuatis, which have obtained Geographical Indication certificates,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion, Koster expressed his appreciation to M. Prananda\nPrabowo, the PDIP Central Board Chair for Creative and Digital Economy,\nwho was considered instrumental in encouraging the birth of various\ncreative activities during Bung Karno Month in Bali. \u201cThank you to\nMr.\u00a0Prananda Prabowo, who continues to encourage the birth of creative\nand innovative activities. He serves as the Chair for Creative and\nDigital Economy,\u201d said Koster.<\/p>\n<p>According to Koster, this support was reflected in the organisation\nof 16 competitions covering traditional performing arts, fashion, and\nEndek Bali motif design. One of them, the Endek Bali Creative Motif\nDesign Competition, successfully produced 81 new works from students and\nlocal artisans. Overall, the Bung Karno Month 2026 series in Bali\ninvolved 14,569 participants from various educational levels and\nattracted around 27,000 spectators. Koster expressed hope that these\nachievements could become a model for a sustainable cultural movement.\n\u201cLet us make Bung Karno Month not just an annual activity, but a\npermanent movement to ground Pancasila, defend the common people, care\nfor the motherland, and advance national culture,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, PDIP Central Board Chairman Eriko Sotarduga\nemphasised that food sovereignty is part of the nation\u2019s struggle, in\nline with the spirit of Bung Karno\u2019s Trisakti. \u201cWe must be proud of\nlocal food, MSME products, and the richness of the archipelago\u2019s\nculinary heritage,\u201d he said. He added that strengthening the regional\neconomy is pursued not only through political channels but also through\nthe development of local food, culture, and a people\u2019s economy as the\nfoundation of national self-reliance.<\/p>",
