In\nan official press release, the support was provided to facilitate\ncross-service training within the Indonesian military. Head of Korpasgat\nPublic Affairs, Colonel (Pas) Jaito Novian Sulistiyono, stated his unit\nprovided support in two roles: Visual Control Post (VCP) and Jump\nMaster. \u201cThese duties were carried out by Korpasgat\u2019s 1st Matra\nDetachment to support the basic parachute training,\u201d Jaito said.\nThirteen Korpasgat personnel served as VCP at the drop zone, while ten\nacted as Jump Masters on board the aircraft. A total of 920 paratroopers\nwere dropped from 1,200 feet using an Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft\nfrom the 31st Air Squadron with tail number A-1320, Jaito said. Jaito\nexpressed hope that the exercise would enhance TNI personnel\u2019s\nparachuting capabilities and strengthen inter-service cohesion. VCP\npersonnel are responsible for determining the landing point for\nparatroopers. They also ensure jumpers exit the aircraft at the correct\ntime and land precisely on target, taking into account weather\nconditions and wind speed. VCP also communicates with pilots to confirm\nthe drop zone. In combat scenarios, they secure the drop zone from enemy\nthreats.
