Indonesia's National Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) plans to evaluate the ongoing national one-way traffic system on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road from kilometre 70 to kilometre 414 in Semarang, potentially discontinuing it as traffic volumes stabilise post the peak Lebaran exodus on 18 March. The evaluation, scheduled for 21 March, involves collaboration with the Transport Minister, Jasa Marga executives, and reporting to the National Police Chief, aiming to restore normal two-way traffic if no surge is anticipated. This measure, introduced to manage high volumes of returning travellers, underscores the government's efforts to ensure smooth and safe journeys during the holiday period.

The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), along
with relevant stakeholders, will evaluate the implementation of the
national one-way system starting from kilometre 70 of the
Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road up to kilometre 414 at Kalikangkung,
Semarang.

This evaluation opens the possibility of halting the one-way traffic
engineering, given that traffic movements have begun to ease following
the peak of the homecoming flow on Wednesday (18/3).

“The national one-way system opened on 18 March will be evaluated by
us tomorrow morning [Saturday (21/3)],” said the Head of the Traffic
Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho in
Jakarta on Friday (20/3), as reported by Antara.

According to Agus, if no signs of increasing traffic flow are
found—for instance, if traffic counts on the toll road remain at low
levels—then the national one-way system will be discontinued.

He added that collaboration with various parties, such as the
Minister of Transportation, the President Director of Jasa Marga, and
reporting to the National Police Chief, will be part of the evaluation
process.

“Perhaps the one-way homecoming flow will be lifted by us.
