The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) is\nstrengthening road safety education for the younger generation through\nthe \u2018Polantas KARIB Goes To School\u2019 programme.<\/p>\n
Traffic safety education was provided to students of SMP Labschool\nKebayoran, Jakarta, on Thursday (10\/9), attended by the Director of Law\nEnforcement of Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General I Made Agus\nPrasatya.<\/p>\n
During the event, Made explained that police duties in the field of\ntraffic are not solely related to law enforcement. Korlantas also plays\na vital role in ensuring security, safety, order, and smoothness of\ntraffic (kamseltibcarlantas).<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, students are encouraged to understand the importance of\ntraffic order from an early age. The education provided covers not only\nwritten regulations but also the habits and attitudes that need to be\napplied when on the road,\u201d Made stated in his remarks.<\/p>\n
The materials presented included the completeness of vehicle\ndocumentation, compliance with traffic signs, and understanding and\nadherence to road markings.<\/p>\n
Korlantas emphasised that the understanding of traffic safety should\nnot stop within the school environment but must be applied by students\nin their daily lives.<\/p>\n
Despite being in junior high school, Made noted that students need to\nunderstand traffic safety from an early age. This knowledge is expected\nto shape disciplined and responsible behaviour when travelling on the\nroads.<\/p>\n
Through education starting from school, students are expected to grow\ninto a generation that is disciplined, cares about safety, and is\ncapable of becoming pioneers of traffic safety within their school,\nfamily, and community environments.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, during the occasion, Made also encouraged students to be\nbrave in pursuing their ambitions and not to give up easily in achieving\nthem.<\/p>\n
