        "content": "<p>Kopassus member killed in Aceh<\/p>\n<p>BANDA ACEH, Aceh: The continuing violence in Aceh has claimed<br>\nthe life of a soldier, who was shot dead by rebels in West Aceh<br>\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The local military spokesman, Maj. Zaenal Muttaqin, said First<br>\nSgt. I Made Sukarna of the Army's Special Force (Kopassus) was<br>\nkilled while looking into a communications blackout in Padang<br>\nKlieng village, which was caused by a cut telephone line. Sukarna<br>\nwent to the village on foot, along with Pvt. Khairuddin.<\/p>\n<p>Muttaqin said a dozen rebels from the Free Aceh Movement (GAM)<br>\nambushed the two soldiers in the Kede Teunom market. Sukarna died<br>\nimmediately with gunshot wounds to the head. Khairuddin survived<br>\nthe ambush unharmed.<\/p>\n<p>The soldiers did not return fire on the rebels for fear of<br>\nhitting civilians in the market, Muttaqin said.<\/p>\n<p>Sukarna's body was to be flown to Jakarta later on Wednesday.<br>\n-- Antara<\/p>",
