"summary": "The National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) has highlighted that recent cases of electronic-based sexual violence in higher education institutions demonstrate how violence is becoming more subtle, harder to recognise, and increasingly normalised. Chairwoman Maria Ulfah Anshor expressed regret over the perception that violence against women disguised as jokes is considered normal, pledging continued oversight of such cases, including the latest at the Faculty of Law at the University of Indonesia. Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi emphasised the need for societal education to address misconceptions about non-physical forms of sexual violence, such as verbal and digital abuse, as a fundamental step in prevention.",
