        "content": "<p>Komnas HAM to probe Bulukumba riot<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM)<br>\nannounced on Friday it would send a fact-finding team to look<br>\ninto possible human rights violations in a recent incident in the<br>\nSouth Sulawesi regency of Bulukumba.<\/p>\n<p>A man died and three others were injured after police opened<br>\nfire to disperse a crowd of farmers who ran amok at rubber<br>\nplantation firm PT London Sumatra in the remote regency on<br>\nMonday. The riot was triggered by a land dispute.<\/p>\n<p>Komnas member Hasballah M. Saad told reporters the team is<br>\nexpected to arrive in Bulukumba on Wednesday next week.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will investigate possible rights violations during the<br>\nincident,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>Police arrested and named 15 people suspects following the<br>\nincident and named 13 others who have not yet been arrested for<br>\nallegedly masterminding the protest.<\/p>\n<p>The police have defended the officers involved in the fatal<br>\nshooting, saying they opened fire in self-defense. -- JP<\/p>",
