        "content": "<p>The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) is strengthening\nits digital complaint services through an inclusive one-stop system to\nmake it easier for the public to report alleged human rights violations\nand monitor the progress of their cases online. Komnas HAM Chairperson\nAnis Hidayah said the service enhancement is being carried out through\nthe SeLIP (Sentra Layanan Informasi Pengaduan) application and the DUHAM\nOnline channel, which can be accessed via mobile applications or the\nwebsite pengaduan.komnasham.go.id. \u201cKomnas HAM continues to develop and\nstrengthen an inclusive one-stop complaint service to facilitate public\naccess in reporting alleged human rights violations through a mechanism\nor application called SeLIP,\u201d Anis said during a hearing with House of\nRepresentatives Commission XIII at the Parliamentary Complex, followed\nonline in Jakarta. She explained that the service is designed to make it\neasier for the public to submit consultations and complaints. Through\nDUHAM Online, the public can also use a tracking feature to monitor the\nprogress of their cases using a complaint registration number. In\naddition, Komnas HAM has developed a Smart Map of Complaint Data and a\nPublic Opinion Survey on Complaint Services (SULAP) as part of efforts\nto improve public service accountability. \u201cEvery complainant who is\nwilling can provide an assessment of the services provided through the\nPublic Opinion Survey on Complaint Services (SULAP),\u201d she said. Anis\nreported that from January to June 2026, Komnas HAM received 1,376\ncomplaints of alleged human rights violations. Of these, 422 cases are\nstill being processed, while 518 cases have been followed up through\nmonitoring in 376 cases and mediation in 142 cases. She explained that\nthe rights to welfare, justice, and a sense of security were the\ncategories most frequently complained about by the public in the first\nhalf of 2026. The majority of complainants were individuals, community\ngroups, and workers\u2019 groups, while the most reported parties were the\npolice, central and regional governments, and corporations. During the\nhearing, Komnas HAM also reported several cases of concern, including\nalleged sexual violence at the Dolo Kusumopati Islamic Boarding School,\nthe deaths of five prospective managers of the Koperasi Desa Merah Putih\nduring basic military training, the case of junior doctors who failed to\ncomplete their studies, alleged human rights violations in Kembru\nDistrict, Central Papua, the case of Grandmother Saudah in Pariaman, the\nassault on KontraS activist Andri Yunus, and monitoring of the death of\nOkto Tigau and the shooting of Melkina Sondegau in Papua.<\/p>",
