Komnas HAM Inquiry working on blueprint<\/p>\n
AMBON, Maluku: The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas
\nHAM) through its Inquiry Commission on Human Rights Violations
\nand Maluku Mediation (KPMM) is now working on a blueprint which
\nwould map conflict prone areas in the region.<\/p>\n
Inquiry chairman Bambang W. Soeharto said conducive areas,
\npreventive areas and conflict potential areas would be identified
\non the map.<\/p>\n
\"The map is aimed at arranging a reconciliation program, and
\nwill be followed by integrated mapping for various aspects,\"
\nBambang said.<\/p>\n
Besides mapping, Bambang said, the Inquiry is conducting a
\nsimultaneous social interaction program between two conflicting
\ncommunities. He added that the Inquiry believes that the
\nprolonged conflict in Maluku was a cumulative result of social,
\neconomic and political problems.<\/p>\n
\"Therefore, handling the conflict can not be partially done
\nbut has to be handled through a comprehensive and intensive
\napproach,\" Bambang said.<\/p>\n
Government, he added, should establish a national coordination
\nboard to handle refugees as they are now in post traumatic
\nsyndrome stage, which makes them hard to control in the event of
