        "content": "<p>Komnas HAM and nationalists<\/p>\n<p>From Koran Tempo<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas<br>\nHAM) has published a report about a mass grave in Nanggroe Aceh<br>\nDarussalam, one that reportedly could have been dug during the<br>\npresent military emergency period in the territory. Various<br>\ngroups in society have reacted strongly to this report owing to<br>\nits controversial and, what some say, one-sided nature. As the<br>\nsource of these reports were local people and therefore cannot be<br>\nverified through a cross check on the ground, it will only<br>\nundermine the efforts of those involved in the current integrated<br>\noperation in Aceh.<\/p>\n<p>Unless Komnas HAM clarifies this report, they will be beaten<br>\nby a mob just like the Commission on Missing Persons and Victims<br>\nof Violence (Kontras) was beaten about a month ago. Kontras was<br>\nmobbed because the community felt greatly annoyed with this<br>\ncommission's sensational and incorrect reports as well as its<br>\nlack of Nationalism. Indonesians can no longer be deceived like<br>\nbefore. So that means Indonesians need correct news to<br>\ndistinguish good from bad.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government does not completely prohibit Komnas<br>\nHAM from sending an investigative team to Aceh, but the result of<br>\nthe investigation must be objective and accurate, and the<br>\ncommission must not publish sensational reports even if true. Why<br>\nhasn't the commission investigated the burning of over 400 school<br>\nbuildings there? Why hasn't the commission investigated the<br>\ndestruction of electrical relay stations, a crime which I think<br>\nmust have been committed by the Free Aceh Movement (GAM)? The<br>\nburning of school buildings and the destruction of electrical<br>\nrelay stations constitute a serious violation of human rights as<br>\nthese acts negate the rights of the community to enjoy education<br>\nand electricity.<\/p>\n<p>JOKO PRIYONO<br>\nBekasi, West Java<\/p>",
