        "content": "<p>Collaboration between the government and the business sector is\nneeded to open more access for the young generation of Papua in\ndeveloping skills in digital technology.<\/p>\n<p>Jayapura (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs\n(Komdigi) together with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) has presented\nthe Garuda Spark Innovation Hub (GSIH) in Jayapura City, Papua, as a\nspace for developing the skills and digital talent of the young\ngeneration in the local area.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of\nIndonesia Meutya Hafid, in a press release in Jayapura, said the\npresence of GSIH Jayapura is part of efforts to connect local digital\ntalent with coaching, industry, academia, communities, and the\ntechnology ecosystem at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJayapura has an important role in developing digital talent in\nPapua,\u201d she said via Zoom on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to Meutya, with the potential of the young generation,\nacademics, and communities that continue to grow, the presence of the\nGaruda Spark Innovation Hub in Papua is expected to connect more local\ntalent with coaching, industry, and opportunities at the national\nlevel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollaboration between the government and the business sector is\nneeded to open more access for the young generation of Papua in\ndeveloping skills in digital technology,\u201d said Meutya.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Director and Chief Legal &amp; Regulatory Officer of\nIndosat Ooredoo Hutchison Reski Damayanti said Indosat is committed to\nsupporting equitable digital access so that technology can be utilised\nproductively by the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Indosat, technology will be more beneficial when more people\nhave the opportunity to learn and use it productively,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Reski, support for GSIH and the presence of the Indosat\nGame Center Jayapura are part of the company\u2019s commitment to providing\ninclusive digital access while supporting the development of Indonesian\ntalent, including the young generation of Papua.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeveloping digital talent in Papua needs to be carried out through\ncollaboration involving the government, industry, communities, and\nvarious stakeholders so that the young generation does not only become\ntechnology users,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that the company will continue to be committed to\nproviding inclusive and equitable digital access in line with the vision\nof the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs to deliver\nconnectivity that is Connected, Growing, and Protected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe presence of GSIH Jayapura is also integrated with the Indosat AI\nExperience Center (AIEC) Jayapura which has been operating since 20 May\n2025.
