        "content": "<p>The Joint Regional Defence Command (Kogabwilhan) III has distributed\nhumanitarian aid in the form of food supplies to 500 residents from nine\nvillages in Jila District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua.<\/p>\n<p>Residents in the area are experiencing a food crisis following a\nsudden attack and the abduction of nine civilians carried out by the\nFree Papua Organisation (OPM) several days ago.<\/p>\n<p>Commander of Kogabwilhan III, Lieutenant General Lucky Avianto, said\nin a statement in Timika on Saturday that the food aid was flown using\ntwo Indonesian Air Force helicopters from Yohanis Kapiyau Air Force Base\nin Timika to the capital of Jila District and Bunaraugin Village, which\nare currently the main evacuation points for residents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a difficult situation like this, the safety and basic needs of\nthe community are the top priority of the government, represented by\nKogabwilhan III,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Kogabwilhan commander directly monitored and inspected the food\nsupplies sent to Jila District.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival at the evacuation point, the aid from Kogabwilhan was\nimmediately distributed to residents who had been waiting since morning.\nThe remaining food aid was set aside as reserves in the evacuation post,\nwhich is tightly guarded by TNI task force troops.<\/p>\n<p>Lieutenant General Lucky also requested prayers and support from all\nIndonesians for the main humanitarian mission currently being carried\nout by Kogabwilhan III, namely freeing residents still held by the armed\ngroup of the Free Papua Organisation (OPM).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt present, TNI task force troops continue to work to locate the\nresidents who have become victims of the abduction,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He reminded the OPM that no struggle, no difference of opinion, and\nno reason whatsoever justifies the abduction of children and defenceless\ncivilians.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the TNI, Lieutenant General Lucky said that traditional\nand religious leaders are also continuing to issue appeals and calls to\nthe OPM to immediately release all residents.<\/p>",
