        "content": "<p>The Klungkung regency administration will immortalise Ida Dewa Agung\nJambe by naming a street after him. This was conveyed by Klungkung\nRegent I Made Satria during the ratification of the Draft Regional\nRegulation on Guidelines for Naming Streets and Public Facilities in the\nmain session room of the Klungkung Regional House of Representatives\n(DPRD) on Thursday (11\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Satria said the effort is a form of appreciation for the services of\nthe National Hero from Klungkung. The PDI-P politician stated that the\nplan has been supported by the existence of a regional regulation on\nstreet naming. Nevertheless, in the effort to change one of the street\nnames in Klungkung to Ida Dewa Agung Jambe, his administration will\nstill consider a number of matters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have prepared this. We will further coordinate with figures and\nelders of the Klungkung Palace,\u201d said Satria.<\/p>\n<p>The ratification of the Draft Regional Regulation on guidelines for\nnaming streets and public facilities was carried out to provide clear,\nobjective, and accountable guidance for the regional government in\ndetermining the names of streets and public facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe aim is quite clear, to avoid overlapping names and provide legal\ncertainty. Besides that, this is also to ensure our administrative\norder,\u201d added Satria.<\/p>\n<p>In the effort to name streets and public facilities, the government,\naccording to Satria, will continue to observe the precautionary\nprinciple in considering historical values, meritorious local figures,\nlocal language and culture, as well as community aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the naming of streets and public facilities has not been\nregulated comprehensively in the Bumi Serombotan area. Satria said this\nhas caused disorder, overlapping names, and some name usages that are\nnot yet in accordance with historical values, culture, and local\ncharacteristics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith standardised guidelines, we hope that the naming of streets and\npublic facilities can reflect the identity of the region and strengthen\nthe public\u2019s sense of ownership of public spaces. Moreover, naming\nstreets and public facilities also holds strategic value, namely not\nonly as location markers but also as educational media, a tribute to\nhistory, and the preservation of cultural values and local wisdom,\u201d he\nconcluded.<\/p>",
