        "content": "<p>KLM plans alliances<\/p>\n<p>BOMBAY (Dow Jones): KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is exploring<br>\npossibilities of venturing into infrastructure and airport<br>\nmodernization in India, Leo van Wilk, chief executive officer and<br>\npresident of KLM said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing reporters, Wijk said he is in India to seek<br>\npartnerships to implement KLM's strategic global programs,<br>\nparticularly in code sharing and to develop cargo infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>He said there is tremendous potential in Asia and in<br>\nparticular in South Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Finding a partner in Asia is more complex because of widely<br>\ndiffering character, Wijk said. \"We are talking to various large<br>\nAsian carriers to examine which of them would be suitable for our<br>\nglobal alliance,\" he added.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, KLM signed a commercial cooperation agreement with<br>\nMalaysian Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>ministers are due to discuss the report later in the year.<\/p>",
