        "content": "<p>Klaten Regency\u2019s government, through the Dinas Koperasi Usaha Kecil\nMenengah dan Perdagangan (DKUKMP), has organised a cheap market to\nassist residents in meeting their needs during Ramadan and Idul Fitri\n1447 H.<\/p>\n<p>The cheap market initiative, held at the Ngawen Subdistrict Office\ncompound on Monday, 2 March, offered 1,200 packages of basic foodstuffs\ncontaining 2 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of sugar, 1 litre of cooking\noil, and 4 packets of instant noodles, priced at Rp10,000 per\npackage.<\/p>\n<p>Ngawen Subdistrict Head Poniran explained that the cheap market was\naimed at residents of 13 villages in Ngawen Subdistrict to help\nlow-income households meet their basic needs before Lebaran. \u201cResidents\nwho come to the cheap market must bring their national identification\ncard and a voucher distributed by their village head. This ensures that\nthe cheap market initiative reaches the intended target\u2014low-income\nhouseholds,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo attended the cheap market at\nNgawen Subdistrict Office and symbolically handed over packages to\nresidents, with support from Komis II DPRD Klaten Chairman Agus\nRiyanto.<\/p>\n<p>The regent disclosed that to assist residents in meeting basic needs\nduring Ramadan and Lebaran 2026, the local government through DKUKMP\nKlaten has launched cheap markets across five subdistricts, beginning\nwith Ngawen. Across the five subdistricts of Ngawen, Delanggu, Tulung,\nKarangdowo, and Jogonalan, a total of 6,000 packages of basic foodstuffs\nhave been prepared, each containing 2 kilograms of rice, 1 kilogram of\nsugar, 1 litre of cooking oil, and 4 packets of instant noodles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach region will distribute 1,200 packages to local residents by\nshowing their identification card. These Rp10,000 per package foodstuffs\nare intended to help ease residents\u2019 burden in meeting basic needs ahead\nof Lebaran,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>Kamiyati, a resident of Senden Village, welcomed the Klaten Regency\ngovernment\u2019s cheap market initiative. \u201cI am grateful to the Klaten\nRegent for his concern for low-income households by helping them meet\nbasic foodstuff needs at affordable prices. This assistance is\nparticularly helpful, especially as my husband has suffered from a\nstroke for some time,\u201d she said.<\/p>",
