KL to investigate diplomat's death<\/p>\n
KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysia will investigate the death of the
\nhead of Bosnian embassy here after the diplomat's family
\ncomplained of poor medical treatment at a private hospital, the
\nprime minister said yesterday.<\/p>\n
"We will look into the death and see what happened," Mahathir
\nMohamad was quoted as saying by Bernama news agency. "If the
\nBukvic family's grievances are true, we regret it," Mahathir
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The family of the charge d'affaires, Ibrahim Bukvic, 55, who
\ndied in hospital on Tuesday, said they were dissatisfied with the
\ntreatment.<\/p>\n
The diplomat's son, Amer, 22, was quoted saying in the New
\nStraits Times that the family had lodged complaints with the
\nPantai Medical Center and the foreign ministry.<\/p>\n
Bukvic was admitted into the hospital on Jan. 31 and underwent
\na series of operations including one on his appendix and another
\non his intestines, according to Amer.<\/p>",
