        "content": "<p>KL, RI consider \"open skies\"<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (AFX): The government is considering implementing<br>\nthe \"open skies\" concept with Indonesia, similar to Malaysia's<br>\nrecent agreement with Thailand, The Sun quoted Transport Minister<br>\nLing Liong Sik as saying.<\/p>\n<p>He said the matter was discussed with his Indonesian<br>\ncounterpart during his recent visit to Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\"Indonesia's response is favorable but they asked their<br>\nofficers to study the agreement signed between us and Thailand<br>\nbefore considering the proposal,\" Ling said.<\/p>\n<p>He said his recent visit to Indonesia was to lay the<br>\ngroundwork for follow-up talks between the carriers of both<br>\ncountries on Oct.15 and 16.<\/p>\n<p>Ling also said the recent open skies agreement with Thailand<br>\nin terms of capacity, frequency and destinations to various<br>\nairports, will need further planning before it can be<br>\nimplemented.<\/p>",
