KL joins Ongko Group<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Malaysian stock-brooking company TA Enterprise
\nBerhad acquired 49 percent of PT Ongko Multicorpora's shares in
\nits subsidiary, PT Arya Prada Sekuritas, which it then renamed PT
\nTA Ongko Securities.<\/p>\n
Tony Tiah Thee Kian of TA Enterprise Berhad and the president
\nof Ongko Multicorpora, Irjanto Ongko, signed the agreement on the
\nacquisition in a brief ceremony here yesterday.<\/p>\n
"The paid-up capital of the acquired company will increase to
\nRp 11 billion (US$4.7 million) from Rp 8 billion after this
\nacquisition," Irjanto said, adding that its authorized capital is
\nRp 15 billion.<\/p>\n
He said that TA Ongko Securities, which is engaged in
\nunderwriting and investment advisories, is expected to grow in
\nline with the Indonesian capital market development.<\/p>\n
Tony said that he is optimistic TA Ongko Securities will play
\nin the regional capital market in the next two or three years.<\/p>\n
TA Enterprise, through its subsidiary TA International,
\noperates in the regional markets of Hong Kong, Australia, India,
\nSri Lanka and the Philippines.<\/p>\n
"Last year TA Enterprise was ranked first in Malaysia by
\nobtaining 10 percent of the capitalized market shares with a
