        "content": "<p>KL commits $3.2b to triangle<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): Malaysian companies have committed<br>\ninvestments worth nearly US$3.2 billion to a growth triangle<br>\nlinking local firms and those from Indonesia and Thailand, a news<br>\nreport said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-nine business pacts have been sealed between the<br>\nprivate sectors in the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand growth<br>\ntriangle in the past 18 months, with Malaysian firms pledging<br>\nsome eight billion ringgit (3.2 billion dollars), the Bernama<br>\nnews agency said.<\/p>\n<p>The triangle witnessed the signing of 20 pacts worth $1.3<br>\nbillion in a single ceremony in December last year to develop<br>\ninfrastructure, trade and industry and human resources, tourism,<br>\nagricultural and hotel services.<\/p>\n<p>The triangle covers Indonesia's Aceh and North Sumatra<br>\nprovinces, Malaysia's Penang, Kedah, Perlis and Perak states and<br>\nThailand's Narathiwat, Songkla, Satun and Haadyai provinces.<\/p>",
