        "content": "<p>KL asked to probe robbery case<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (DPA): Manila asked authorities in Kuala Lumpur<br>\nyesterday to investigate a report that the crew of a Malaysian<br>\nNavy vessel robbed a Philippine boat inside its own territorial<br>\nwaters, the country's top foreign affairs official said.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign Affairs Secretary Domingo Siazon said the Philippine<br>\nambassador to Malaysia had already brought the allegation to the<br>\nattention of Malaysian Foreign Affairs Minister Abdullah Badawi.<\/p>\n<p>Reports last month said armed Malaysian sailors boarded a<br>\nPhilippine vessel anchored off Boaan island near Tawi-Tawi<br>\nprovince in the southern Philippines on Aug. 20.<\/p>\n<p>The Filipino seamen said the Malaysian crew took their<br>\nbelongings and then sped off out of Philippine waters.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the Philippines would have to wait for results<br>\nof the investigation being done by the armed forces' southern<br>\ncommand before deciding whether to file a diplomatic protest.<\/p>",
