        "content": "<p>KL airport suffers blackout<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (AP): A computer failure at Malaysia's new<br>\ninternational airport over the weekend caused an hour long<br>\nblackout, delayed international flights and stalled escalators,<br>\nforcing travelers to lug bags five flights of stairs to departure<br>\ngates, according to news reports on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Full power was restored at the Kuala Lumpur International<br>\nAirport after three hours Sunday when a backup power supply was<br>\nprovided by the country's main utility company, Tenaga Nasional.<\/p>\n<p>The airport's own backup generator was activated but shut down<br>\nafter 10 minutes, airport officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Almost all operations at the multibillion dollar airport are<br>\nlinked by a central computer. The system failure is the first<br>\nmajor meltdown since July, when the airport opened with massive<br>\nteething problems.<\/p>",
