        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology\n(Kemendiktisainstek) has stated that the approved additional education\nbudget allocation will target 130,620 students receiving the Kartu\nIndonesia Pintar (KIP) Kuliah programme for the 2027 Fiscal Year.<\/p>\n<p>During a working meeting with Commission X of the Indonesian House of\nRepresentatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Monday, the Minister of Higher\nEducation, Science, and Technology, Prof.\u00a0Brian Yulianto, stated that\nthis quota increase can be realised once the ministry secures the\napproval of an additional budget amounting to Rp1.267 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis budget adjustment focuses on the KIP Kuliah target to add\n130,620 students, so that the target for students funded by KIP Kuliah\nin the 2027 Fiscal Year will reach approximately 220,000 people,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Brian explained that based on the decision of the Budget Committee\n(Banggar) of the DPR RI meeting on 15 September 2026, Kemendiktisainstek\nhas received an additional budget injection for the education function\nof Rp1.267 trillion specifically to expand the scope of KIP Kuliah.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget allocation provided by the ministry for the entire\nKIP Kuliah programme in 2027 reaches Rp16.66 trillion, intended for both\nnew students and ongoing recipients.<\/p>\n<p>Brian stated that Kemendiktisainstek ensures this increase in\nrecipient quotas represents a shared commitment between the government\nand the DPR to expand access to higher education for the nation\u2019s\nchildren from underprivileged families.<\/p>",
