Killing at red-light district<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A man who stabbed a prostitute at the
\nunauthorized Malvinas red-light district in Bekasi on Tuesday
\nturned his weapon on a man who tried to intervene, fatally
\nwounding him.<\/p>\n
Syarifuddin, in his 40s, was believed to be a security guard
\nat the prostitution complex. He was allegedly killed by Kikim
\nSugiarto, 27, a resident of Central Jakarta, City Police
\nSpokesman Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna said yesterday.<\/p>\n
The suspect was arrested immediately after the incident, Iman
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The woman, identified only as Aan, 35, is in a serious
\ncondition and is being treated at a nearby hospital.<\/p>\n
According to Iman, Kikim was a regular client of Aan's.<\/p>\n
\"While in the room, both were involved in a heated argument
\nabout the light,\" the spokesman said.<\/p>\n
When Aan tried to turn the light on, Kikim produced a bayonet
\nand allegedly stabbed Aan eight times.<\/p>\n
Hearing Aan scream, Syarifuddin rushed into the room and was
\nattacked by Kikim, Iman said. (bsr)<\/p>",
