JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2014 The Jakarta Military Prosecutor has revealed\nthat the kidnapping, which culminated in the murder of the branch head\nof a state-owned bank, Mohammad Ilham Pradipta, began with a request to\nintimidate someone in exchange for hundreds of millions of rupiah.<\/p>\n
That request was made by a civilian to a TNI soldier who later became\na defendant in the case.<\/p>\n
Military Prosecutor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung explained that the\nincident started when Witness 5, Yohanes Joko Pamuntas, approached\nDefendant 1, Mochamad Nasir, in Jonggol on 17 August 2025 around 16:00\nWIB. At that time, Joko asked for help to intimidate someone.<\/p>\n
Wasinton explained that Joko did not yet know who the target was.\nNasir then asked to first meet with Witness 3, Dwi Hartono.<\/p>\n
\u201cAround 20:00 WIB, Witness 5 met with Witness 3 (Dwi Hartono),\nWitness 4 (Antonius Aditya Maharjuna), and Defendant 1 in Kota Wisata.\nIn that meeting, Witness 3 planned to forcibly abduct the person\u2019s\nleader on 19 August 2025. However, Defendant 1 said, \u2018That\u2019s impossible\nbecause the time is too tight,\u2019\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
In that meeting, Nasir then proposed the kidnapping technique by\nsedating the victim before taking them to a specific location.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen Defendant 1 proposed the technique: \u2018Usually the victim is\nsedated and kidnapped to be taken to a safe house.\u2019 Hearing Defendant\n1\u2019s explanation, because the plan was neat, Witness 3 agreed,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, Witness 3 sent the victim\u2019s data to Witness 5 via\nWhatsApp, containing the name, photo, phone number, coordinates, and\naddress of the victim. After that, they discussed the payment\nagreement.<\/p>\n
Defendant 1 then contacted Defendant 2, Feri Herianto, and invited\nhim to meet in the Kota Wisata Cibubur area. In that meeting, Witness 3\nalso took Witness 5 to an ATM to withdraw Rp 30 million, which was then\nhanded over to Witness 5.<\/p>\n
\u201cDefendant 2 arrived and introduced himself to Defendant 1, Witness\n5, and Witness 7 (David Setia Darmawan). At that time, while handing\nover a brown envelope, Witness 5 explained the plan to be carried out by\nDefendant 2 and the team,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
After that, Witness 5 stated that the victim\u2019s location point had\nbeen sent by Witness 3 and that monitoring of the victim\u2019s movements\nwould be conducted.<\/p>\n
Defendant 1, along with Witness 5, Witness 4, and Witness 7, then\nheaded to a point near the BRI Cempaka Putih Auxiliary Branch Office to\nconduct observation.<\/p>\n
