        "content": "<p>Surabaya (ANTARA) - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa has\nemphasised that synergy between government, business, higher education,\npesantren, and society is the key to successful development in the\nprovince, alongside continuous improvements in economic growth,\neducation, and food security achievements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe key is synergy. It is impossible for us to succeed alone.\nCollaboration between central government, provincial, district and city\nlevels, business world, higher education, and pesantren forms an\nimportant strength for East Java\u2019s development,\u201d Khofifah stated while\nattending Lemhannas Goes to Campus at Universitas KH Abdul Chalim,\nPondok Pesantren Amanatul Ummah, Pacet, Mojokerto, as per the statement\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Khofifah conveyed that East Java\u2019s economic growth in the first\nquarter of 2026 reached 5.96% year-on-year, the highest on Java Island\nand exceeding the national achievement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to convey that in the first quarter, year-on-year, the\nhighest economic growth on Java Island is East Java. This is not\nsomething simple. Indeed, we have built synergy and collaboration, but\nthe prayers of all of you strengthen our achievements, and hopefully, it\naligns with Allah\u2019s will,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Khofifah, East Java\u2019s economic growth is supported by\nthe processing industry sector at 31.45%, trade at 18.77%, agriculture\nat 10.51%, and 14 other sectors at 39.27%.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the agriculture sector absorbs around 7.38 million\nworkers, trade 4.69 million workers, industry 3.36 million workers, and\nother sectors 8.42 million workers.<\/p>\n<p>In the education sector, the East Java Provincial Government has\nrecorded being the province with the highest number of senior high\nschool (SMA), vocational high school (SMK), and madrasah aliyah (MA)\nstudents accepted into state universities through the non-exam pathway\nfor seven consecutive years.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP)\n2026 released by the National New Student Admission Selection (SNPMB),\n29,046 students from East Java were accepted into state universities out\nof a total of 108,122 registrants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExtraordinary hard work and the prayers accompanying all our efforts\nhave resulted in East Java\u2019s SMA, SMK, and Aliyah students topping state\nuniversity admissions without exams for seven consecutive years,\u201d\nKhofifah said.<\/p>\n<p>The East Java Provincial Government also implements several human\nresource (HR) strengthening programmes, including SMK revitalisation,\ndouble-track schools, boarding schools, education assistance for\nstudents from pre-prosperous families, and scholarship programmes.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 6,575,603 students are recorded as receiving Operational\nSupport Costs for Education Delivery (BPOPP), while early religious\neducation assistance and private teachers reach 5,347,905 students as\nwell as 284,900 teachers and ustadz.<\/p>\n<p>In the food sector, Khofifah emphasised that East Java is one of the\nmain pillars of national food security.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf President Prabowo mandates food security, then its granary is in\nEast Java. Even now, we are moving towards sustainable food\nsovereignty,\u201d she asserted.<\/p>\n<p>Based on 2025 data, East Java\u2019s rice production reached 10.43 million\ntonnes, up from 9.23 million tonnes in 2024, while rice production\nreached 6.03 million tonnes, an increase of 12.60% compared to the\nprevious year.<\/p>\n<p>The Government Rice Reserve (CBP) stock at the East Java Regional\nOffice of the Logistics Agency (Bulog) was also recorded as the highest\nnationally, amounting to 822,854 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Governor of the National Resilience Institute of the\nRepublic of Indonesia (Lemhannas RI) TB Ace Hasan Syadzily assessed that\nthe East Java Provincial Government\u2019s steps in strengthening education\nand youth development are on the right track to welcome Indonesia\u2019s\nGolden 2045.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased that East Java under the leadership of the Governor\ncontinues to promote the quality of human resources.
