        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The owner of the hajj travel agency PT Zahra Oto Mandiri,\nor Uhud Tour, Khalid Zeed Abdullah Basalamah, also known as Khalid\nBasalamah, has completed his examination as a witness in the hajj quota\ncorruption case. Khalid Basalamah stated that he was examined in his\ncapacity as the chairman of the hajj association. \u201cI was summoned as a\nwitness, in my capacity as Chairman of the Mutiara Haji Association,\u201d\nKhalid told reporters at the KPK\u2019s Merah Putih Building in South Jakarta\non Thursday, 23 April 2026. He also admitted to having returned money\namounting to Rp8.4 billion to the KPK related to this case. \u201cSo PT\nMuhibbah returned the funds to us, we didn\u2019t know what the money was\nfor. The amount was around Rp8.4 billion or so. It was returned,\u201d he\nexplained. Furthermore, Khalid elaborated that the money was returned\nfrom PT Muhibbah, the party that offered hajj departures to Khalid\u2019s\ntravel agency. \u201cAnd when it was returned to us, we weren\u2019t told what the\nmoney was. The money was just given. Then, when summoned by the KPK, the\nKPK said, \u2018Ustadz, there is money from the visas.\u2019 I said, \u2018Yes, there\nis.\u2019 \u2018Ustadz, you must return it.\u2019 \u2018Alright, we return it.\u2019 So, that\nmoney wasn\u2019t kept by us.
