        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - In its latest announcement regarding the\ndevelopment of the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency auction, the Ministry\nof Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has revealed that the three\nmobile operators operating in Indonesia, namely XLSmart, Indosat, and\nTelkomsel, are participating in the auction.<\/p>\n<p>The participation of these three mobile operators is evidenced by the\ncollection of e-Auction accounts on Wednesday-Thursday (29-30 April\n2026) at the Ministry of Comdigi office in Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSubsequently, the Telecommunications Providers that have obtained\nthe e-Auction system account can download the Selection Documents. The\nTelecommunications Providers can study the Selection Documents and\nprepare a list of questions if there is any substance in the Selection\nDocuments that is not well understood,\u201d states the official statement\nfrom Kemkomdigi received on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Selection Documents can be downloaded until 7 May 2026 at 15:00\nWIB by the mobile operators, and once the documents are downloaded, the\ndownloaders are referred to as Prospective Selection Participants.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for submitting questions to the Government is Friday\n(8\/5) at 15:00 WIB.<\/p>\n<p>The Government is opening the auction for the selection of users of\nthe 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz radio frequency bands to expand the reach of\ntelecommunications services using 4G and 5G mobile technology to remote\nareas.<\/p>\n<p>This is stipulated in the Minister of Communication and Digital\nDecree No.\u00a0175 of 2026 on the Selection of Users of the 700 MHz and 2.6\nGHz Radio Frequency Bands for the Purpose of Providing Mobile Cellular\nNetworks in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the formation of the selection team through the Ministerial\nDecree yesterday, this process (frequency auction) has officially begun.\nThe hope, of course, is how the expansion of 4G and 5G services can be\nfelt more widely to remote areas,\u201d said Minister of Communication and\nDigital Meutya Hafid at the Kemkomdigi office in Jakarta on Thursday\n(9\/4).<\/p>\n<p>The 700 MHz radio frequency band is a low-band radio frequency known\nas the digital dividend because it is produced after the completion of\nthe migration from analogue to digital television broadcasting (Analogue\nSwitch Off\/ASO).<\/p>\n<p>This radio frequency has a very wide signal coverage and the ability\nto penetrate solid physical obstacles such as buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The 2.6 GHz radio frequency band is a mid-band frequency that is\nideal for supporting channel capacity and large-scale data transmission\nspeeds such as 5G technology.<\/p>",
