Kebayoran Baru youth reunion<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Members of a 1960s organization grouping
\nteenagers in the South Jakarta Kebayoran Baru area plan a reunion
\nbash with a four-kilometer charity walkathon.<\/p>\n
National Police Chief Gen. Dibyo Widodo, who was a member of
\nthe group, will launch the walkathon on Sept. 14 which will start
\nand finish at the PTIK field on Jl. Tirtayasa Raya.<\/p>\n
Musicians from the Koes Plus band are among the members who
\nhave since hit the big time.<\/p>\n
The walkathon is open to everyone for a fee of Rp 7,000, which
\nentails a T-shirt, a cap and snacks and drinks.<\/p>\n
The proceeds will be donated to orphans and pensioners,
\nBambang Soeroso, who is coordinating the reunion, said.<\/p>\n
This is the group's second walkathon. Last year, it raised Rp
\n23 million ($8,500) which was donated to the National Foster
\nParents Fund, Bambang said.<\/p>\n
Those intending to take part are required to register with the
\ncommittee at Jl. Tirtayasa VI no. 9, Kebayoran Baru. (12)<\/p>",
