        "content": "<p>KDI to take in Bulog stock<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The government plans to hand over 150,000 metric<br>\ntons of cooking oil currently belonging to the State Logistics<br>\nAgency (Bulog) to the Indonesian Distribution Cooperatives (KDI)<br>\nfor distribution throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Bulog acting chairman Rahardi Ramelan, who is also minister of<br>\nindustry and trade, said: &quot;We will give Bulog&apos;s cooking oil stock<br>\nto KDI as a working capital, which it must repay to the<br>\ngovernment.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the government freed Bulog from<br>\ndistributing cooking oil and appointed KDI to take over the role.<\/p>\n<p>The government has changed the cooking oil distribution system<br>\nseveral times recently in what has been so far an unsuccessful<br>\nbid to stabilize the product&apos;s prices, which have risen<br>\ndramatically since last year.
