KCIC: 53,000 Whoosh Tickets Sold During Extended Holiday Period<\/p>\n
Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 General Manager Corporate Secretary of PT Kereta\nCepat Indonesia China (KCIC), Eva Chairunisa, stated that 53,000 tickets\nfor the Whoosh high-speed train have been sold during the extended\nAscension of Jesus Christ holiday period, from 13th to 17th May\n2026.<\/p>\n
She added that the number of passengers is expected to continue to\nincrease in the coming days, until the end of the long weekend.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe public is advised to purchase tickets online before arriving at\nthe station,\u201d said Eva, on Friday, 15th May 2026.<\/p>\n
She revealed that the increase in passengers began on 13th May 2026.\nOn that date, the afternoon and evening departure schedules, after\npeople finished work, became a popular choice for passengers, with 95\nper cent occupancy on the Whoosh trains in operation.<\/p>\n
\u201cPassengers are mainly people taking advantage of the long holiday to\ntravel, especially from Jakarta to Bandung and its surroundings for\nholidays,\u201d said Eva.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Eva said that this increase is also supported by the\ngradual addition of Whoosh journeys. From 14 journeys, to 28 journeys,\n36 journeys, 40 journeys, 48 journeys, and even up to 62 journeys per\nday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe short travel time, comfort, and high punctuality are added\nvalues that make people choose Whoosh,\u201d said Eva.<\/p>\n
