        "content": "<p>Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh stated that the distribution of clean\nwater to areas affected by drought during this year\u2019s dry season is\nongoing to help meet the community\u2019s needs. \u201cI have instructed the\nRegional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to move quickly to distribute\nclean water to meet the needs of people in drought-affected areas,\u201d the\nregent said in Karawang on Wednesday. Currently, three villages in\nKarawang are affected by the drought, namely Kutamekar and Mulyasejati\nvillages in Ciampel District, and Kutalanggeng Village in Tegalwaru\nDistrict. As a handling measure, the Karawang Regency Government,\nthrough the local BPBD, has collaborated with the Tirta Tarum Karawang\nWater Utility Company (Perumdam) to distribute clean water to the\ndrought-affected areas. He stated that emergency measures in the form of\nclean water distribution to drought-stricken areas are necessary, as\nthis year\u2019s dry season is expected to be quite long. According to\nforecasts from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency\n(BMKG), this year\u2019s dry season will occur from July to September, with\nthe peak predicted for August 2026. This year\u2019s dry season is generally\nexpected to be drier and last longer than normal conditions. The regent\nconveyed that the Karawang Regency Government has ensured that the BPBD\nand Perumdam will remain on standby to minimise the impact of drought in\nseveral areas around Karawang. Regarding the long-term handling of\ndrought that triggers clean water difficulties, he mentioned the need\nfor an infrastructure project to connect clean water pipelines to the\nsouthern Karawang region, which is a regular drought-prone area during\nthe dry season. \u2018God willing, the pipanisation that will supply clean\nwater will be carried out this year,\u2019 he said.<\/p>",
