        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 Kampung Rambutan Terminal is ensuring the roadworthiness of\nbuses ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah holiday season by\nimplementing daily ramp check inspections.<\/p>\n<p>The terminal\u2019s head, Revi Zulkarnain, stated that the facility is\ntargeting the inspection of a minimum of 40 buses daily before their\ndeparture. \u201cWe are targeting a minimum of 40 buses to be inspected\nbefore departure. Each bus inspection takes approximately 20 minutes,\u201d\nRevi said when met by Kompas.com on Monday (9 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, inspections are at the pre-ramp check stage, whilst the\nmain ramp check period will run from 13 March to 31 March 2026. \u201cRamp\nchecks commenced today for pre-holiday transport. Subsequently, from 13\nto 31 March 2026 marks the main ramp check period for the Eid holiday\ntransport season,\u201d Revi explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCore systems cannot tolerate any compromise as they concern safety.\nAdditionally, there are also support systems that are inspected,\u201d said\nRevi.<\/p>\n<p>Support systems include the completeness of safety equipment inside\nbuses, such as jacks, warning triangles, first aid kits, and emergency\nglass-breaking tools. All of these must be present before a bus passes\nthe ramp check inspection.<\/p>\n<p>Based on observations by Kompas.com, many passengers were waiting at\nthe terminal in the departure lounge, carrying large suitcases and\ncardboard boxes for transport to their hometowns. The majority of\nholiday travellers originated from distant regions, including\ndestinations on the island of Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Ade (32), a traveller from Payakumbuh, West Sumatra, stated that she\nchose to return home early to avoid traffic congestion and before ticket\nprices increased. \u201cYes, I want to go home early to Payakumbuh to avoid\ntraffic and ticket prices are still normal if it is well before the\nholiday season,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ll spend about 10 days during fasting, at\nmost 15 days, and ticket prices are still normal at 875,000 rupiah for a\nsleeper berth,\u201d explained Ade.<\/p>",
