Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, will soon examine the\nKalisari Sub-District Head in Pasar Rebo, as well as the Head of the\nEast Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, following the discovery of\nthe use of artificial intelligence (AI) in evidence for following up on\npublic complaints that went viral on social media.<\/p>\n
Pramono has requested the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate to conduct an\ninspection to determine which parties approved the use of AI, both at\nthe sub-district and sub-department levels.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have already asked the Inspectorate to check on the matter of AI\nin JAKI, whether it was the sub-district head, namely the Kalisari\nSub-District Head, or the Head of the East Jakarta Transportation\nSub-Department,\u201d he said in Central Jakarta on Monday (6\/4).<\/p>\n
Transparency Becomes the Focus of the DKI Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment<\/p>\n
Pramono emphasised that anyone proven to have approved the use of AI\nto complete work or reports on citizen complaints improperly must be\nsanctioned.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhoever is at fault must be punished. And this must not happen\nagain, because for the Jakarta government, transparency is a very\nimportant matter,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The PDIP politician also regretted the handling of reports by\nRegional Device Organisations (OPDs) that were deemed to cover up\nproblems. According to him, manipulating photos using AI is a form of\ndeception to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s better, for example, to say it\u2019s not finished yet rather than\ndoing it with AI, which essentially is deceiving,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that he has asked the Inspectorate to impose sanctions on\nthe parties proven to have committed the violation.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd we, I have already asked the Inspectorate to impose sanctions\nfor that,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
Illegal Parking Complaint Suspected of Manipulation<\/p>\n
This case originated from a complaint about illegal parking in the\nKalisari area, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta. A resident via an X account\nclaimed that the report submitted through the official DKI Jakarta\nProvincial Government app, JAKI (Jakarta Kini), was followed up using\nphotos edited by artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n
In response to the report, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government\nconducted an internal investigation. The results of the examination\nfound that the citizen complaint regarding illegal parking in Pasar Rebo\nwas suspected to have been manipulated by Kalisari Sub-District\nofficials.<\/p>\n
Based on data, the illegal parking report was recorded in the JAKI\napp on 15 February 2026 at 20:14 WIB with coordinates 6.33750 LS and\n106.86024 BT on Jalan Damai, Kalisari Sub-District, Pasar Rebo\nSub-District, East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
In the screenshot of the complaint follow-up, several cars that were\npreviously parked at the location suddenly disappeared, while the\npositions of the officers and motorbikes passing by remained the same,\nas if no time change had occurred.<\/p>\n
This finding raised suspicions that the follow-up photo was the\nresult of AI manipulation.
