        "content": "<p>Kalimalang toll road<\/p>\n<p>From Kompas<\/p>\n<p>Construction of the Kalimalang Bekasi to Jakarta toll road<br>\nbegan in 1997 but unfortunately had to be stopped in 1998 when an<br>\nacute economic crisis hit the country.<\/p>\n<p>Virtually nothing has been heard about the project since then,<br>\nexcept that the contractor is involved in a legal problem<br>\nconcerning a toll road construction project in South Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Residents living around the Kalimalang Bekasi to Jakarta<br>\nproject have long awaited its completion, as this road will ease<br>\nthe long, heavy traffic jams along Kalimalang, between Bekasi and<br>\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Residents living close to the project have received financial<br>\ncompensation from the Jakarta provincial administration in<br>\nexchange for their land appropriated for the toll road.<\/p>\n<p>Within this context, PT Jasa Marga, the company responsible<br>\nfor the project, should immediately resume construction so that<br>\nthe road may be used by local people, who are obedient taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>R.
