        "content": "<p>The National Police Traffic Corps Chief (Kakorlantas) Inspector\nGeneral Agus Suryonugroho stated that traffic on the third day of\nOperation Ketupat 2026 remains light. However, his team is preparing for\nthe possibility of increased traffic flow this Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are awaiting the possibility that after breaking the fast, there\nwill be a surge in traffic. Nevertheless, our traffic management and\nengineering scenario preparations are ready, whether for the evening or\nnight ahead\u2014including contraflow and possibly one-way systems\u2014we have\nalready prepared this whilst awaiting updates,\u201d said Inspector General\nAgus at the National Police Traffic Corps Command Centre at Km 29\nCikarang, West Java, on Sunday (15 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Inspector General Agus explained that the traffic engineering\nmeasures to be implemented are not based on prediction but on current\nsituation assessment. Traffic conditions are continuously monitored\nusing available technology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause we work not on prediction, but on real-time traffic counting\nthat we will monitor through CCTV, radar, and we also deploy ETLE drones\napproximately every three hours to monitor real-time conditions,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Inspector General Agus emphasised that Operation Ketupat 2026 is not\nmerely about deploying police personnel in the field. Rather, it is to\nensure public safety and security.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly, we are not only present in the field, but we ensure that\nOperation Ketupat, whether for the return journey or departure, so that\npeople leaving their homes or offices to travel to their home villages,\nthis is guaranteed to arrive safely and securely at their destination,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>Operation Ketupat 2026 is scheduled to run for two weeks, from 13 to\n25 March 2026. The operation carries the tagline \u201cSafe Journey, Happy\nFamily\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>By midday, 25 per cent of vehicles had already departed Jakarta,\nheading to various regions including East Java, Bandung, and\nSumatra.<\/p>",
