In the first\nquarter of 2026, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded 7.2 million\ntransactions through the app, a 20.74% increase compared to the same\nperiod in 2025 which recorded 5.9 million transactions. This increase\nreflects growing customer reliance on digital channels to plan train\njourneys. As app usage rises, KAI continues to refine its services to\nsimplify ticket search and booking processes. \u2018In addition to providing\neasy access, the app allows customers to obtain journey information more\nquickly and in an integrated manner,\u2019 said KAI Vice President of\nCorporate Communication Anne Purba in a statement on Friday, 29 May\n2026. The feature allows previous search histories to be displayed,\neliminating the need for customers to restart searches from scratch.\nAdditionally, KAI has improved the Schedule and Filter interface. With a\nmore streamlined layout and user-friendly filter settings, customers can\nquickly find travel schedules that meet their needs. \u2018The search process\nis more efficient as customers can directly filter travel options\naccording to their preferences,\u2019 Anne explained.
