        "content": "<p>Garut (ANTARA) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 2 Bandung in West\nJava recorded 13,076 departing passengers during the 2026 Eid transport\nperiod at Garut Station in Garut Regency, West Java, representing a 6%\nincrease compared to the previous Eid. \u201cThe cumulative departing\npassengers for the same period in 2025 were 12,299; the comparison\nbetween 2026 and 2025 shows a 6% rise,\u201d said Kuswardojo, the Public\nRelations Manager of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, when contacted from Garut on\nSunday. He explained that Garut Station serves two long-distance\ncommercial trains: the Papandayan train from Garut Station to Gambir,\nJakarta, and the Cikuray train from Garut Station to Pasar Senen,\nJakarta. During the 22-day 2026 Eid transport season, these two\ncommercial trains recorded 13,076 departing passengers from Garut\nStation and 15,451 arriving passengers. He noted that the highest number\nof departing passengers was on 30 March 2026 with 828 people, while the\nhighest arrivals were on 24 March 2026 with 901 people. The rail\nservices at Garut Station, which was reactivated in 2022, are quite\npopular among the public for both departures and arrivals to Garut due\nto their punctuality, safety, and comfort. \u201cTrains have become a\nfavourite among the public because they are on time, safe, and\ncomfortable,\u201d he said. Kuswardojo mentioned that the number of\npassengers during the Eid season is much higher compared to the daily\naverage of 250 to 300 passengers. \u201cOn a daily basis, the average daily\npassengers are around 250 to 300,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
